Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is an exercise based program design to promote central nervous system compensation for inner ear deficit. VRT can help with a verity of vestibular problem like positional vertigo and unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction (Reduce inner ear function on one or both side) Associate with labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis.

VRT can also help people with an acute or abrupt loss of vestibular function following surgery for vestibular problems.

Vestibular rehabilitation can help in following:

  • Vertigo - sense the word or some times self spinning or moving
  • Dizziness - various sensation including spinning in the head
  • Light headedness
  • Blurred vision - often when moving your head
  • Disequilibrium - The sense of being off balance
  • Change direction to one side when walking
  • Falls
  • Motion sensitivity
