Occupational therapists are registered health professionals, who promote health and wellbeing through the enabling of participation in every activity of occupation. Occupational Therapy (OT) is a health care profession which provides many wide-ranging services to a variety of people from infants to adults. Occupational Therapy is useful for people who have a problem in performing normal Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
The goal of OT is to maximize the ability of each individual to perform self-care, work and leisure activities to the best of their physical, emotional and cognitive abilities; to help people re-learn skills needed to live independent, productive and satisfying lives.
