Falls Prevention Program
The purpose of fall prevention program is to explore the roll of exercise in preventing falls and decrease subjects' fear of falling. Our falls prevention program is designed to deliver one on one care and group activities. The falls prevention program can be measured based on an effective falls reporting formula the preliminary assessment of the causes. Base line is the basis from which the benefits of a falls prevention program are monitored.
Most common risk factors that influence fall in adult:
- Altered gait or balance
- Environmental hazard
- Lower extremities muscle weakness
- Dizziness or vertigo
- Syncope
- Postural hypotension
- Decrease visual acuity
- Arthritis
- Dementia or Altered level of consciousness
- Major depression
- Medication use (especially more than four medications)
